Expect a fairly gray and cooler Tuesday before light rain arrives in the Twin Cities metro, then transitions to snow overnight.

Accumulating snow is possible Monday night and against Tuesday into Wednesday, though details are still coming into focus.

Sunday will start out with some morning sprinkles before the afternoon warms up with a nice southwest breeze.

The precipitation will spread through the afternoon and evening hours, and the metro could wake up with an inch or two of snow on the ground.
